Chartwell on the Severn has a charming landscape, with tree lined streets and classic colonial style homes, many of which have been updated in recent years. This beautiful home’s kitchen needed an expansion, so we took down a wall so that the scale of the kitchen matched its function and the size of the home.  Our clients kept the classic beauty of the home’s design with traditional details like inset cabinetry, stacked crown moulding, and historic colors like navy and natural wood.  The family now has ample room for big family gatherings, with a 48” range, an island, and a peninsula with seating.  Our favorite design element is the beverage centers tucked behind pocket doors. We love when our clients stick to what they love, and this charming family brought thoughtful ideas, stories, and character to the design process.
